Half of FFX sponsorship will go to Shelter

For the 'office' Christmas party we're asking companies to sponsor a drink and get their logo on our wall.

As much as we care about freelancers going without a Christmas party, we are aware of how trivial that is compared to the genuine hardship that others are suffering. That's why we've chosen housing and homeless charity Shelter to receive 50% of the money we receive from our micro-sponsors.

To see the sponsors that have pledged already, see the FFX sponsor wall.

If you'd like to sponsor a drink, please make your pledge here.

If you'd like to come to the party, please RSVP here.

FFX: The 'office' Christmas party for freelancers

It's a thirsty time of year for freelancers, with no office party and no boss to buy you a drink.

This year Freelance Friday are throwing you an 'office' Christmas party you can call your own. Although there won't be a photocopier, there will be plenty of booze and the same opportunity to make a fool of yourself as any corporate bash.

FFX is happening in The Reliance Pub, Old Street on December 16th. You can RSVP in the usual fashion on the Meetup event page. If you're not a member of Freelance Friday you can join here.

These kind benefactors are getting the rounds in. They wanted to show their gratitude for all your hard work this year. Click on their logos to find out more about who they are.

Buy a freelancer a drink this Christmas

It's a thirsty time of year for freelancers, with no office party and no boss to buy them a drink.

On December 16th we're throwing London-based freelancers an 'office' party they can call their own this year. The Freelance Friday meetup group has over 200 members, and we're hoping you might buy one of them a drink to thank them for their hard work this year.

In return we'll put your logo on our wall of sponsors. You only need to buy one drink, but the bigger the round you get in, the larger we'll make your logo.

Of course we realise there are people in the world in greater need than thirsty freelancers, which is why we're giving half the money to charity. We've fixed a standard drink price at £4, and half of the total money raised will be ear-marked for Shelter before we open the bar tab.

Thanks,

Tim, Gaz, Kai and the rest of the Freelance Friday community
